Weekend Wedding Venue
While most venues give you a single day for setup, tear down and partying, Woodland Lodge and Farm offers a unique weekend package. This allows your family and favorites to arrive the night before. Celebrate by cooking s’mores around a campfire and enjoying each other’s company. I’d probably stay up way too late, because I was enjoying the incredible master bathroom in the lodge.
Forest Views from the patio
I’d also suggest serving brunch on the upper patio while your vendors arrive and setup begins. You can keep an eye on the progress, while relaxing before your wedding. I found the master suite to be the perfect location for hair and makeup. With another balcony, you can sneak peeks without being seen by guests or your fiancé.
Custom Photo Opportunities
The grounds of Woodland lodge and farm offer several unique options for photos. A custom built swing set was my absolute favorite. The seats are wide enough to accommodate even the puffiest of wedding gowns without wrinkling them. I also ventured into their forested areas a bit and found a gorgeous tree that was secluded enough for canoodling. Of course, their treehouse ceremony space would definitely be the talk of all the friends in your life.
Tear down on your terms
I think the best part though, is having that third day just to tear down. I’d spend the wedding night back in that master suite (I’m obsessed with it). Sleep in the next morning then say goodbye as you head off on your honeymoon while everyone else tears down what’s left of the party. Doesn’t that sound grand?
Of course, Woodland lodge and farm also offers a traditional single day package. I just don’t think that sounds like quite as much fun.
