Your Wedding Photography Package Checklist: Capturing Your Special Day Perfectly

The Ultimate Wedding Photography Package: What You Really Need

Planning a wedding is like putting together a giant puzzle, and one of the most important pieces is your photography package. With so many options out there, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed—but that’s where we come in. As a PNW Wedding Photographer team, we believe your wedding photos should be more than just files on a computer.

When seeking out your ultimate wedding photography package, you’ll want something that’s thoughtfully crafted to go beyond just capturing the day; you want to preserve it. From heirloom albums that tell your love story page by page to stunning wall art and keepsake prints you’ll treasure forever, make sure your memories are beautifully tangible. This checklist is here to help you choose the perfect package—one that leaves no detail behind and ensures your special day lives on for generations to come.

The Perfect Wedding Photography Package Includes:

Coverage That Fits Your Day

One of the first things to consider when selecting a wedding photography package is the amount of coverage you’ll need. Most couples opt for 4-8 hours, which typically covers the essential parts of the day, from getting ready to the first dance. However, if your celebration extends into the night or includes multiple venues, you may want the option to add extra hours. Flexibility is key, and having a package that allows you to customize your coverage ensures that every significant moment is captured.

We offer packages ranging from 4-8 hours with the ability to add on additional coverage time when needed. Markie will also help you plan a photography timeline to make sure your chosen package allows ample time for all those “must have” moments (like the first look or sunset portraits!).

Two Skilled Professional Photographers

Having two photographers at your wedding is like having eyes in the back of your head. While one photographer focuses on the main events, the second can capture candid moments and different angles, ensuring that no detail goes unnoticed. As a PNW Wedding Photographer duo, we work seamlessly together to document every nuance of your day, from the quiet anticipation before the ceremony to the joyous celebrations afterward.

Markie has been a wedding photographer for over 15 years, with Jake joining her as our standard second shooter in 2019. Emi has studied photography under Markie for several years, shadowing during elopements and building her own professional portfolio as well.

An Online Gallery WITH access for Friends & Family

In today’s digital age, having an online gallery is a must-have feature in any wedding photography package. This convenient option allows you to view, download, and share your photos with ease. Your friends and family will appreciate having access to the gallery, enabling them to relive the day alongside you. Plus, with a personal shop link, ordering prints, albums, or other products becomes a seamless process.

All of our wedding packages include a beautifully curated online gallery of all deliverable photos AND UNLIMITED ACCESS for friends and family. This way, you can simply share the link to your wedding gallery with your guests and they’re able to download, print and order from your shop link.

The Engagement Session

An engagement session is a wonderful way to capture the love and excitement leading up to your wedding day. It’s also an opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera and build a rapport with your photographers. As Seattle Wedding Photographers, we love exploring the stunning backdrops of the PNW with our couples, creating images that reflect your unique connection and story.

Your Engagement Session is a VITAL part of your wedding journey and should easily coexist with your wedding day photos. Having the same photographers for both gives you a beautifully cohesive look, and allows you the opportunity to get comfortable in front of our cameras prior to your wedding day. For this reason, we ALWAYS include your engagement session in your wedding package and insist you give us at least 30 minutes to spend creating beautiful memories with you.

Optional: A Boudoir Session

For those looking to add a touch of intimacy and empowerment to their wedding journey, a boudoir session can be a beautiful addition to your photography package. This session is all about celebrating you and your body, capturing stunning images that are both elegant and personal. Whether you choose to keep these photos private or share them with your partner, they serve as a reminder of your beauty and confidence.

Markie loves photographing boudoir and assisting both brides and grooms in creating the ultimate wedding day gift. We offer boudoir sessions as an add on service with any of our packages at a discounted rate. For pricing and more information, please visit https:boudoir.markiejonesweddings.com

Tangible Products or Product Credit

In the digital age, it’s easy to forget the tactile joy of holding a printed photograph or flipping through a beautifully crafted album. Including prints, albums, or product credit in your wedding photography package ensures that your memories are preserved in a tangible form. These keepsakes allow you to relive the emotions of your wedding day and share them with future generations.

All too often we see couples put off ordering prints or albums because they tend to be an added cost. While couples may not want an album, we do love to see your wedding memories in print. This is why every wedding package includes a print credit for you to select wall art, prints, albums and more. As an added bonus, when you use your print credit through your shop link, you’ll receive free economy shipping!

Videography Recommendations or Services

While photographs capture moments frozen in time, a videographer can bring your wedding day to life through motion and sound. If your photography package doesn’t include a videographer, consider seeking recommendations from your photographers. As experienced PNW Wedding Photographers, we often work with talented videographers who can complement our style and provide a cohesive visual narrative of your day.

In 2024, we jumped into wedding videography services as well after seeing many couples skip the videographer in an effort to save money. While we don’t offer full videography services, we do offer highlight and ceremony video packages. These are an add on service and only available when booking one of our wedding photography packages.

Choosing the right wedding photography package is an essential part of planning your big day. With this ultimate checklist, you can ensure that every detail is considered, from the number of photographers to the availability of an online gallery. Whether you’re planning an intimate ceremony in the heart of Seattle or a grand celebration in the scenic PNW, our goal is to capture the essence of your love story with warmth, humor, and artistry.
