Wayne + Miranda | Gold Creek Pond Engagement
I’m looking for someone to share in an adventure…
Wayne and Miranda were such a joy to share an adventure with. They drove all the way to Gold Creek Pond for their adventure engagement session. The dedication they had, including selecting the perfect outfits, finding some special props (like their hubby & wifey cups! I may have those same ones at home!) and carting it all on a 1+ mile hike around the pond was impressive!
Like all of my clients, these two were obviously meant for each other. It’s not everyday you get to say you married your first serious boyfriend or girlfriend; but for Wayne and Miranda it’s the truth. They’d dated back in junior high, and after life took them in different directions, they found their way back to each other. While Wayne was on a job in California, they began a long distance relationship and became engaged in July. I’m overjoyed for their upcoming Brookstom Creek Wedding!
During our adventure, we got to know each other by sharing stories of our families and kids. They told me stories about their three year old daughter, and laughed along with me at my husband’s brilliant studio in the creepy basement ideas. They share a love of clamming, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Wayne’s going to share his super creamy clam chowder recipe with me. I love a good creamy clam chowder.
These two were willing to try anything I asked of them; watching them interact made my heart smile. As we wrapped up their session, I asked them to take a moment and just look at each other. The other directions were for Wayne to whisper to Miranda about the moment he fell in love with her. I was expecting a super sweet moment… but they both burst out laughing. Turns out, they’d had this conversation a week or so before their session and like every good love story it involved food. Miranda and her mom made Wayne dinner when they were in high school and it was love at first bite.
