VanLierop Garden Market | Joe & Laurie
I had the pleasure of photographing at VanLierop Garden Market alongside one of my favorite photographer-colleagues! Lessie Blue Photography is always a blast to shoot with, and I’m never disappointed when she lets me shoot with her. I’m lucky to call her a friend and have a great vendor to vendor relationship as well! So, when she told me how much I would love Joe and Laurie, I knew I HAD to join her for their garden wedding.
Wedding Prep in Lake Tapps
Before heading to VanLierop Garden Market, we met the couple at their family home on Lake Tapps, Laurie upstairs and Joe downstairs. The two story layout allowed the couple to prepare without risking a glimpse before their first look. We were in awe at the gorgeous lake views from the upper deck where we photographed the couple’s sweet details.
I was immediately enthralled with Laurie. From her ombre blush wedding gown to her Star Wars tattoos, she is everything I look for in a client. Joe is her perfect match, a Rockstar in his own right, and looks like a cover of Rolling Stones magazine. Combined these two make the ultimate wedding power couple.
A quaint Garden Oasis
VanLierop Garden Market was one of the venues I’d considered for my own wedding. Situated just off main street, it’s a quiet garden oasis filled with unique garden sculptures and antiques. While it’s beautiful in the daytime, when the sunsets, the magic happens. You can smell the delicious food from Sorcis and dance the night away on their moveable dance floor. The entire venue is surrounded by large privacy greenery, making it seem as though you’re far from town.
A Nod to the Inner Geek
Joe and Laurie gave kudos to many of the things that make the PNW special. From their custom cake topper to the handmade fire starter favors, their wedding was full of that PNW vibe. They made sure to sneak in some geeky flair with a Darth Vader table number. Finding this among the rest of the décor really made my day.
