Summer Five2Five Wedding Vow Renewal | Rachael + Mario

It finally happened. For the first time in my 12 year career as a wedding photographer, I woke up to find I would not be able to make it to a wedding. Thanks to my amazing team (and a last minute fill in) Rachael + Mario’s Summer Five2Five Wedding day didn’t miss a single beat without me!

A Summer Five2Five Wedding

After years of driving past this incredible little venue, I finally photographed my first wedding there last summer. I was looking forward to their team putting together a beautiful day for Rachael + Mario. Lucky me, the team didn’t disappoint and I was able to relive all the dreamy details.

Finally married… again?

Like many of my couples, Rachel + Mario scurried off to Vegas and eloped in 2021 not knowing if they would be able to have their dream day. But they wanted to celebrate with their friends and family too. Rachael told me they were planning a laid back shindig, with delicious bbq and good times for their Summer Five2Five Wedding Vow Renewal.

Pennies Events stepped in to help them coordinate their day, taking the stress of figuring everything out off Rachael. Branks BBQ brought all the fixings, while Beerly Beloved kept the drinks flowing. Guests munched on delicious desserts and really lit things up with s’mores as a late night treat.

The little details

The trend to shy away from DIY comes and goes. Rachael wasn’t scared off at all and picked up her florals from the local farmers market. Scanning through her photos, I was thrilled at her ingenuity when I found the pocket square with a bit of lavender taking the place of the traditional grooms boutonnière.

The rings took my breath away. I hope that Rachael will correct me if I’m wrong, because getting all the stories straight when I didn’t hear them myself is like a bad game of telephone. A little research tells me the rings are from a boutique like Manly Bands or Rustic & Main. Mario’s ring appeared to have a meteorite inlay, with the engraving “to the moon and back” (my all time favorite Dolly Parton song). Rachel’s center stone looks like moonstone, which sticks with the overall theme.

All fun and… some games

No wedding day is complete without a little fun! These two took an offer even I couldn’t have resisted and headed over for portraits at Buckley Fire Station. Mario may have had the most fun, and I’m sure there were plenty of laughs.

While I’m sad to have missed their Summer Five2Five wedding, I know Rachael + Mario were in great hands. I cannot wait to see what wonderful adventures they have together and wish them the best on their journey through life.
