Sibling Session Take 2 | Sumner Family Photographer
Those photos I took back in June really stuck with me, and I couldn’t wait to complete my vision for my family wall. I loved the idea of putting individual photos of each kid up, really big on my wall. Since I was pregnant at the time, I knew I would need to take a second day to complete this set. Of course, had I really planned this out, I would have insisted that the girls wear their pink dresses for the first three images. But, I wasn’t thinking that far ahead, so the first three images don’t match the last two. Oops. Lesson learned for the future.
If you didn’t read the original story, the first three images (one of each of the girls, then the image of them together) were the result of forgetting those blasted last day of school photos. Emi, my nine year old, was looking over my shoulder at facebook and noticed all her friends mom’s posting last day of school images. It was a total mom fail moment when she realized we never did them. (Thanks FB algorithm for continuing to show those photos a WEEK after school got out). So we zipped down to the old studio in Sumner to give the girls a “model day” and knock out those end of the year photos.
They turned out pretty amazing if I do say so myself. However, looking back now, I really truly love this series even more than before. Once Evan arrived, we needed to add a photo of the three of them, and him by himself. If I did this again, I’d coordinate outfits better, but I love them just the same. One day I’ll blow them up to large canvases.
Of course, by the time I get them on canvas, we’ll probably have added another baby.
