2018 Seattle Wedding Venue Wish List
Seattle Wedding Venue Wishlist
Here in the gorgeous Pacific North West, amazing venues are definitely not hard to come by. I’ve had the joy of photographing weddings at some of the best Seattle Wedding Venues, including: Echo Falls Country Club, Thornewood Castle and Commellini Estate. As it goes, I’m always learning about new venues and placing them on my Seattle Wedding Venue Wish List. From Snohomish to Seattle proper, here are some of the dream Seattle Wedding Venues I’ve stumbled across.
Sole Repair Shop – Seattle
This incredible wedding venue started as a shoe repair warehouse in the early 1900’s. It’s filled with classic architecture, exposed beams and rustic wooden walls… all of those warm cozy features brides dream about. Rentals include 6 hours to party and 2 hours to setup on your reserved date, providing plenty of time for your 60-150 guest reception. The real show stopper here? A fully functioning garage door, to give your guests an indoor and outdoor experience to remember. This Pike Street Venue tops my Seattle Wedding Venues dream list.
Georgetown Ballroom – Seattle
Another beautiful Seattle Wedding Venue that started as something else. The Georgetown Ballroom was once a warehouse garage and later the historic Mission Theater. Possibly one of the biggest wedding venues on our dream list, they welcome up to 300 guests with a versatile floor plan of two adjoining spaces and two mezzanines. Make your entrance via their incredible grand staircase into your ceremony space, lit with colorful lanterns hung from the ceiling. The stage makes a perfect backdrop for your ceremony, while the private tree filled courtyard invites your guests to enjoy a cocktail while you two lovebirds enjoy your first moments as a married couple. The colorful lighting, exposed brickwork and outdoor tin siding offer a bit of modern whimsy to your elegant affair.
Olympic Rooftop Pavilion – Seattle
A smaller Seattle Wedding Venue can still boast the elegance and charm of the larger ones. The Olympic Rooftop Pavilion gives all our other contenders a run for their money with beautiful views of the Olympics, Cascades, Puget Sound and Ballard Waterways. This classy joint can hold up to 150 for a cocktail style reception, or 130 for a seated dinner. Two of the walls are completely glass and will fully open to create an open air space for your guests to get the best of both worlds. Sit back and enjoy the fire place on the pavilion patio or dance the night away under the stars.
Monte Cristo Ballroom – Everett
The Monte Cristo Ballroom seems to be every wedding photographer’s Seattle Wedding Venue dream! While this venue boasts an all inclusive package, you are usually still free to bring in your own vendors. The ballroom features gorgeous vintage charm, and plenty of space to dance or have dinner, while the foyer boasts three grand chandeliers making it a perfect place for your ceremony. Their full day rental offers you exclusive access to their special rooms. An Executive lounge makes the perfect spot for guests to enjoy cocktails between the ceremony and reception, while the Bridesmaid’s lounge is separate; with three makeup stations and a bridal station, making it a perfect location for your getting ready shots. Plus Grooms get their own room where they can chill with their groomsmen or they can head to the historic fireplace to ward off
Everett Yacht Club – Everett
As far as Seattle Wedding Venues go, the Everett Yacht Club takes the cake (or the waterfront if you prefer). Boasting a beautiful panoramic view of the Marina and Port Gardner this venue is stunning as the sun sets over the Olympic Mountains. Their 30’x90′ deck makes a perfect setting for romantic portraits as the sun goes down, as well as a viewing area for both you and your guests during your reception. You can make your wedding dreams come true with a commercial kitchen, rental decor and free parking for those guests! Plus, don’t worry about Great Aunt Franny having to take the stairs; The Everett Yacht Club has an elevator for her use (or for the cake to use so it doesn’t get dropped). With both all day and hourly rates, this makes the Everett Yacht Club affordable for everyone. If you’d rather be ON the water, consider checking out the MV Skansonia on Lake Union.
Jardin del Sol – Snohomish
The ultimate Garden Venue sits just outside Seattle in Snohomish. With Romantic archways draped in sheer white cloths, to stunning pathways shaded by beautiful trees, Jardin del Sol adds a bit of whimsy to every wedding. This Seattle Wedding Venue boasts a main garden that feels like you’ve been swept away into an enchanted forest glen, with a nearby koi pond to bring you good luck. Three beautiful terracotta patios, allow your guests to roam from place to place enjoying the different festivities at their leisure. Dine under the beautiful white tent; dance among the globe lights or relax at the gas fire ring and the Jardin del Sol custom made bar. With a main lawn perfect for lawn games, and the beautifully landscaped pond and barn areas, there are opportunities abound for those perfect documentary wedding photos. With all day rental periods, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the scenery as well as your wedding day. Want to see a garden wedding I’ve already photographed? Carleton Farm – Lake Stevens
It’s not a true Seattle Wedding Venue list if there isn’t a barn on there. After all, barns are where I feel most at home. Carleton Farm isn’t your basic family farm though. Their gorgeous barn features a stunning wagon wheel chandelier and strings of globe lights. It’s elegant and rustic all at the same time, while still having real bathrooms and a bonus private bathroom just for the bride. The wedding courtyard makes a beautiful spot for your ceremony with incredible views of the farm in the background. All day pricing and some pretty awesome add ons (pumpkin cannon anyone?) make this rustic Seattle Wedding Venue one to dream of.
