Amber + Brooks | Rustic Romance at Brookstom Creek
As a preferred vendor for the Rustic Romance that happens at Brookstom Creek, I’m always thrilled to hear my work was chosen by a bride. Angie (half of the husband/wife owner team) can easily tell when a bride belongs in my circle. So when she told me Amber was a perfect bride for me, I was super stoked to meet her. And from the moment I saw her, I knew: She belonged on Team Wink.
Amber and Brooks met online, like many of our couples do, while Brooks was stationed overseas. Amber refused to allow Brooks to ask her out until he was face to face with her. Once they started dating, they fell head over heels in love, got engaged and started planning their wedding. Soon after, they learned that Brooks would be deployed, so they quickly and quietly got married in her parents backyard.
While Brooks was deployed, Amber took on the task of planning their wedding, sometimes needing to make a split second decision before being able to ask Brooks. But many months of hard work and planning all came together in a rustic romance at Brookstom Creek.
Every detail was thoughtfully curated. Amber chose a beautiful and classic gown from David’s Bridal, while Brooks looked stunning in his dress blues, paired with silly animal socks. They easily complimented each other. The turquoise and yellow palette Amber put together seamlessly blended with Brookstom’s charming wooden accents, making this a one of a kind rustic romance.
From their couples photos in front of the Love sign to their silly wedding party photos, this couple was definitely in tune to one another’s obscure antics. Just watching the two of them act like kids together would make even the coldest of hearts fall in love. We’re thankful that Amber chose the two of us to laugh with and document her wonderful wedding.
Oh, and the look on Bob’s face when Amber explained she was already married… priceless.
