Rainier View Engagement | Emily + Daniel
You might be wondering if I have two clients this year with the same name. I assure you I don’t. This is actually part two of Emily + Daniel’s engagement blog because we really wanted that Mt Rainier View…
Engagement Session Take Two
In my last post, we chatted about the rainy PNW engagement session that didn’t pan out exactly like I’d hoped. In Washington’s usual bi-polar spiteful self (please tell me what I did to make you angry Washington!), the original engagement date was rainy and miserable, but the following day was BEAUTIFUL all day long!
I spent most of the morning huffy because the mountain was out in all it’s glory on our way to co-op. I was happy with Emily + Daniel’s engagement session from the day prior, but knew Emily had hoped for the mountain. As I was putting Evan down for a nap, Emily sent me a text that told me she felt the same. I’m so glad she asked if we could possibly meet, because I needed to get out of the house and wanted to get them their mountain view.
Mount Rainier View
It felt like I held my breath the entire drive from Bonney Lake to Orting. There were spots I wasn’t sure we’d be able to see the mountain due to the clouds. The Rainier view from Calistoga park was breathtaking though!
We met up in Orting just off the road. There was a perfect spot with beautiful tall grass and a view of Mount Rainier. The sun stayed out for us, the clouds parted and we managed to get the shots we wanted! It was refreshing to get out in the sun for a bit as well.
I’m so excited to celebrate with Emily + Daniel this July and can’t wait to see the adventures these two take together! It has been such an honor photographing these two and I’m thankful they trusted my judgement with both parts of their session.
