Let me start by saying, I love the couples that Brookstom Creek continually sends to me. Angie is amazing at knowing which ones I’ll kick it off with, and who’s going to be the perfect #mjcouple! Rachel and Scott are two of the latest in a long string of amazing engagement sessions I’ve been blessed to photograph. Like many busy professionals, these two met online. Scott is graciously serving our country, while Rachel grows her career in helping businesses and individuals with their auditing.
I was thrilled when Rachel and Scott picked one of my favorite locations for their engagement shoot; The exclusive Orting Barns I’ve gained permission for. Rachel’s sweet blue dress, jean jacket and boots combo fit right in with the country vibe. Of course Scott looked handsome in his attire too! These two were amazing to work with, as they took direction incredibly well, making my job easy! I never would have guessed they hadn’t modeled before. 😉
Even though Scott was less than impressed with having his photo taken, we worked quickly (thanks to the incoming rain) and I did my best to make the session as pain-free as possible for him! He was thrilled when I announced we were halfway done and he could change into his second outfit. By that point, we were just having fun and enjoying each other’s company a little longer. When I asked him to pick Rachel up and carry her out of the field as I photographed the final images; he did it in true “man” style by tossing her over his shoulder as she laughed. I always love when clients take my direction, make it their own and run with it!
These two are made for each other and I cannot wait to share in their wedding day. Congratulations Rachel and Scott!
