Reflecting on the Unforgettable 2024 Puyallup Wedding Show: A Pleasant Surprise
Hey there, wedding enthusiasts! Today, I want to take you on a journey through my recent experience at the Puyallup Wedding Show. But before we dive in, let me admit something: I was skeptical. Yep, you heard me right. After a less-than-ideal encounter with a new show in 2023, I wasn’t exactly eager to sign up for another. However, as it turns out, my hesitations were completely unfounded.
Weddings with Joy is always a wonderful addition to any show!
Setting the Stage: My Initial Skepticism
Let me paint you a picture of why I stand corrected and why you might want to consider attending the Puyallup Wedding Show next time around.
First things first, let’s talk organization. Travis and the team from Affinity Media, LLC, the masterminds behind this show, truly outdid themselves. When I first chatted with Travis, I bombarded him with every conceivable concern I had. From attendance woes to empty booths and no-show vendors, I grilled him for over two hours. But you know what? He had an answer for everything. And even when he didn’t, he assured me he’d figure it out. Spoiler alert: he did.
A Pleasant Surprise: Exceeding Expectations
The marketing was on point, with billboards, social media blitzes, and those cute little yard signs peppering the landscape from Enumclaw to Olympia. (Trust me, we saw them on our way to Ocean Shores last week and we visit Enumclaw often too). And as for attendance? Let’s just say there was no shortage of eager couples pouring through those doors. Travis had contingencies for every possible hiccup, and we still have no idea if anything actually went wrong over the weekend!
In fact, it was actually me who decided halfway through Sunday, that we would definitely be coming back to the Puyallup Wedding Show in the future. After all, it was a stellar event and only 20 minutes from home!
Puyallup Wedding Show Planning Trends
Now, onto the main event: the trends and vibes of wedding planning at the Puyallup Wedding Show. What struck me most was the blend of familiarity and freshness. Sure, we saw some trends reminiscent of Tacoma and Seattle shows, but there was an undeniable Puyallup flair. Couples, both for 2024 and 2025 weddings, were out in full force, many already locking in venues and moving onto the next steps of planning.
What’s interesting is that unlike the Tacoma and Seattle shows, where 2025 and beyond weddings dominated the conversation, Puyallup seemed evenly split between 2024 and 2025 nuptials. It was refreshing to see such a mix, and it bodes well for a diverse and vibrant wedding season ahead.
The Afterglow: Post-Show Buzz
Since the curtains closed on the show, the excitement hasn’t waned. Inquiries are flooding in as 2024 couples rush to secure their preferred vendors, while 2025 lovebirds snatch up their dream venues. It’s a whirlwind of anticipation that promises nothing short of magic in the air.
So, here’s the bottom line: I was wrong to doubt the Puyallup Wedding Show. It exceeded my expectations in every way possible. And as I sit here reflecting on the whirlwind of the weekend, I can’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a well-executed event.
