Pioneer Square Elopement | Jazmin & Dominic

A few years ago, I spent a lot of time in Downtown Seattle, and started dreaming of the perfect Pioneer Square Elopement. I’d found a couple spots I really loved in the area for photos. Add in the grungy city vibe, and it made a dream spot. So when Jazmin contacted me with her ideas for their Pioneer Square Elopement, I was giddy. This was the couple I’d been waiting for. They love the grungy city vibe, and were game for anything I could throw at them.

A Rom-Com Love Story

Their story sounds like something out of a romance movie. Jazmin and Dominic met completely by chance on a bus. Events led them to parting ways, but eventually they’d find each other again. This time, Dominic came with an adorable son, Aiden. Finally, they were able to join their family together with their Pioneer Square Elopement.

King Street Station Elopement

Jazmin chose King Street Station for their ceremony spot. Even though I’ve lived in Seattle for almost 28 out of 33 years, I can’t say I’d been inside the iconic building. After searching for other photos in the station, I was head over heels for this place. The beautiful marble floors and walls, made the perfect backdrop for their ceremony.

A Sweet Ceremony with a Nod to everyone’s inner geek

Officiated by Kendall of Fuck Yeah Weddings, they combined some amazingly geeky aspects in their ceremony. Lines from their favorite movies, and a Lord Of the Rings twist for the ring ceremony, made this tug at my heartstrings. Jazmin and Dominic shared vows with each other, and didn’t touch until the ring exchange, a la Doctor Who. Jazmin brought everyone to tears with her vows to Aiden before she and Dominic sealed their marriage with a kiss.

Sketchy back alleys meet the Perfect Photo Ops

After their ceremony was over, Pioneer Square made elopement dreams come true. We ventured to the Smith Tower Lobby for some romantic indoor portraits. They trusted me to take them down a sketchy back alley I knew of, to find the perfect photo opportunities. Then we wandered back to my car so I could return these two lovebirds to their hotel.

Love for the couple

Dominic & Jazmin, I wish you all of the best in your adventures together. Love and cherish one another, and Aiden. And always return to the Emerald City for your milestone celebrations. All My Love, Markie
