Stephanie + Brent | Laguna Niguel Destination Wedding in Southern California
Today we’re going to throw it back two years to a beautiful Laguna Niguel destination wedding. Stephanie, whom I met while she was an amazing and hardworking single mama, met the man of her dreams and on June 11th, 2016, they said their vows surrounded by family and friends. I was honored to photograph this Southern California wedding and flew in the day before to prepare.
My day started off pretty early, waking up around 6 am to grab some breakfast and double check all my equipment for the day. After repacking my gear, grubbing at the complimentary breakfast and checking out of the hotel, I headed out to the Renaissance Sport in Aliso Viejo. The lobby of this hotel was like walking into a 5 star resort, seriously. I made my way to room 416 to meet up with Stephanie and the rest of Team Bride.
Even at 8 am, the room was on full hustle. Stephanie was finishing the curls in Shantell’s hair when I arrived. Within a few minutes, the MUA arrived and started on Shantell’s makeup while Stephanie curled Jessica’s hair. Soon Hope, Joann and Stephanie’s two girls arrived and everyone started getting their dresses on. Once they were all ready and sewn into their dresses, Stephanie stepped into her beautiful David’s Bridal dress, the girls helped slip on her shoes and then we were all out the door.
Everything was running late (which is completely normal for a wedding) so when I arrived all the guests were seated and just waiting on Stephanie. I grabbed a couple images of the Marina Hills Recreational Center before Sue found me to say that Stephanie and the girls had arrived.
The ceremony was beautiful with vows and the uniting of two families. Followed by the reception, and quite the dance party. Brent’s two boys were the kings of the dance floor, generally surrounded by their adoring fans. There were a lot of beautiful happy emotions that day and the wedding was a wonderful way for Brent and Stephanie to join their families and begin their new life together.
