Issaquah Engagement Session | Kiersten + Phillip
Magic can be found everywhere, as long as you know where to look. Kiersten and Phillip’s Issaquah engagement session was full of love, light and trust in the process. We planned a two part engagement session (and learned these are quickly becoming my favorites!) so we could embrace the beauty of the PNW along with the quaint boutique feel of downtown.
Tibbetts Beach Portraits
I spend a lot of time on Google Maps researching locations for sessions, and love using this tool to customize each engagement for my couples. Kiersten mentioned her favorite dates with Phillip have been on the waterfront in downtown Kirkland. I knew we needed a waterfront feel for at least a portion of their portraits.
We met at Tibbetts Beach parking lot and walked over to the beach. The sun hung low above the hills giving us beautiful golden light. As we walked through the park, we found some amazingly beautiful areas (and lost Jake at one point as he wandered off down the path). This area is definitely one I’ll be visiting again.
Issaquah Engagement Session
Once we’d finished at Tibbetts Beach, we headed to Front Street for a more urban feel. By this time everyone was warmed up; Jake and Phillip were cracking jokes in between deep discussions. We walked a bit and found the perfect sunset location. I love Issaquah for it’s boutique feel, and it definitely did not disappoint!
