Haylee & Riley | Brookstom Creek Wedding

One of the greatest things about meeting clients at Brookstom Creek’s open houses is that instant click. When Haylee walked up, there was almost a spark in the air that said “You need to accept this wedding”. As she approached I overheard “This one is the photographer I wanted to book, but she’s not available”. You see, I’d decided that for 2019 I wasn’t going to be taking Sunday weddings since that was typically our family day. After chatting a bit with Haylee, I knew I would be heartbroken if I didn’t bend my own rule for this sweet bride. Of course, she gave me her own condition: I had to bring my infant son to the party. I gladly obliged!

The day came for Haylee and Riley’s wedding, and I arrived with baby in tow. Of course, the instant I walked in I was greeted with “Haylee is in the bridal suite and she wants to see the baby”. No one was concerned that I was even there; they were just excited for Evan’s arrival. Sure enough, I walked into the bridal suite and was greeted with “gimme gimme gimme!” and outstretched arms eagerly awaiting the little one. Haylee was a bride after my own heart for sure since she even waited to put on her wedding dress knowing babies spit up at times. Lol!

While their wedding had been planned for a much larger group of guests, it took on it’s own intimate feel with a smaller group. None the less, it was pure perfection as she walked down the aisle to the Imperial March, and married the love of her life. I held back my own tears as they shared their vows, exchanged rings, and Riley swept her up in a beautiful first kiss.

Haylee was in for a bit of a surprise when she opened her wedding gallery. Her furry friend, Party Llama, had his own gallery folder. If you’re going to bring a llama to the party, be prepared for it to be photographed. Haylee and Riley, many happy memories await you. But watch for the swallows carrying those coconuts. xoxo.
