Outdoor elegance at Glen Acres Golf and Country Club

I was a golf captain in high school and yet it still surprises me anytime couples want to get married at a golf and country club. Glen Acres however, really surpassed my expectations for Nathan and Kendall’s Wedding. Nestled in the hills of West Seattle, this venue boasts some impressive views and skylights your photographers will die for.

Upon arrival, Glen Acres seems like any other country club. A beautiful clubhouse greets you, with a roundabout in the front that would be the perfect location for a getaway vehicle at the end of the night. Rolling acres of golf turf and the perfect ceremony space await you on the other side. The ceremony space is set up overlooking the driving range and offering a peek at the Seattle skyline. One thing to watch in this ceremony space is the sun will be behind your guests during the ceremony. Plan for a late afternoon ceremony during the summer, or early afternoon during the winter, for the best light.

Glen Acres boasts a beautiful ladies locker room suite, perfect for getting ready. The spacious locker room offers sitting areas, multiple bathroom stalls and plenty of window light for hair and makeup. Beautiful metal side tables make the perfect spot to setup your accessories and details for photos.

The reception hall boasts a large windowed ceiling, and when combined with the large side windows, this room has ample natural light during your reception. The dance floor is located in the center of the room, with banquet tables surrounding it, making you and your new spouse the center of attention. Enjoy the glimpse of the city from the windows of the reception while you canoodle and party with your guests.

As if all this wasn’t enough, we love the separate room that hosts the buffet line. No need for guests to be staring each other down while they wait for their food or standing next to tables who are already trying to eat. The smooth transition from one room to another is excellent!
