If you’re planning a geeky wedding ceremony, you might as well go all out and write your own geeky wedding vows. As a photographer I’ve heard everything from short and sweet to long heartfelt speeches. When it came to writing my own vows, I was totally stumped.

The best thing I found to do, was to sit down and watch every wedding scene from all my favorite shows. Snagging my favorite pieces, I created my own goofy, geeky wedding vows that perfectly suited our Halloween wedding.

My Geeky Wedding Vows

You know the saying: “When God closes a door, he opens a window” – Sometimes he’ll do you one better and kick down a whole wall. But it only works if you actually listen.

So these are my vows to you:
I vow to always move your shoes out of the middle of the floor, no matter how many times your feet decide to leave them there.
I vow to make sure I’m not just hangry when I’m yelling at you.
I promise to encourage, support and believe in you.
I promise to never intentionally hurt you, and to apologize when I accidentally do.
I promise to have faith and patience through dark times.
I promise to love you even when I hate you.

Above all, I vow to keep updating our vows as we go, because one set of vows can’t cover a lifetime of growing and changing with you; raising children with you; and falling more in love with you every day for the rest of my life.
