Evergreen Meadows | Elegant Garden Venue in Snoqualmie
Imagine: You’re traveling down winding forest roads, the smell of the pine trees wafting through your open car windows. It feels like you’re deep in the woods, a million miles from the chaos of the city. You pull into a paved drive on your left, and are greeted by the smiling faces of Lori and Katrina. Welcome to Evergreen Meadows.
Evergreen Meadows Garden Venue
Evergreen Meadows is a beautiful garden venue located in Snoqualmie, just a few minutes from Snoqualmie Falls and about 30-45 minutes outside of Seattle (depending on traffic). Entering the venue, you’re greeted by the Bridal Suite; a perfect getting ready location for you and your best gals. A long makeup counter features beautiful lighting and mirrors with plenty of room for your entire collection of makeup pieces. Two comfy couches and a dining table that seats six, offer plenty of seating while you wait for hair and makeup, or even a quick nap for your tiny flower girl. A private bathroom means you never risk being seen by your early arrival guests, and windows facing the property give you the ultimate spy-ability to see who’s shown up.
Farther off to the left, the Groom’s Quarters offer the guys a comfy spot to relax, have a drink and take in the big game. With large doors that open out to the meadow and a secondary outdoor seating area, the Groom’s quarters are the perfect spot away from the bustle of the event setup. Stock the mini fridge with drinks and snacks, but be warned: it may be hard to pull them away if the Seahawks are winning that day.
Garden perfection around every corner
Whether you’ve decided on 50 or 150 guests, Evergreen Meadows has a ceremony spot for you. They recently set up a beautiful elopement spot flanked by three large trees, giving the feeling of being away in the woods. Their large white arbor offers a focal point at the top of the main ceremony space, with room for 150 guests (possibly more if you chat with Katrina in advance). The arbor is the perfect blank slate for drapery and floral pieces, without the added cost of renting an arbor! Plus their reception tent features beautiful chandeliers and the bathrooms are close by, so grandparents don’t have to go far.
I loved touring this beautiful venue and am thrilled to offer a glimpse of Evergreen Meadows straight from Katrina herself! Below you’ll find out more about the venue in her own words.
First up, Please tell me a bit more about you and Evergreen Meadows:
“Evergreen Meadows is owned by Katrina Allen who has been a wedding planner and florist for 12 years. She designed this wedding venue based on everything that she has liked in a wedding venue throughout the years. Evergreen Meadows is a beautiful Pacific Northwest garden venue just 3 minutes from the historic Snoqualmie Falls. It has 2 large getting ready rooms for the bridal party, a tent with crystal chandeliers and hardwood floors and lots of picture opportunities. We have also designed various ceremony locations based on guest count if the couple would rather have an intimate location. There is a smore’s area perfect for a late night activity.”
What made you dream of opening Evergreen Meadows?
“Being a wedding planner and having a lack of garden setting venues on the Eastside.”
What do you enjoy most about being a venue owner and weddings in particular?
“Being a part of their special day and now in a bigger capacity.”
Do you have a favorite story from a wedding or working with a couple?
“I love the moment when I have a person in the party (usually the mother of the groom or bride) be really hands on and not trusting of me and my abilities to plan and execute a flawless wedding. Its fun to watch her eventually have a moment (usually the beginning of the reception) look at me and say “wow you really do got this” and become the mother of the bride/groom and no longer the wedding manager.”
What is one question you always ask during an initial consultation?
“What are you looking for in a venue?”
If you could give couples only one piece of advice for their wedding, what would it be?
“Let go and relax. All wedding day decisions/activities should be managed by someone else. You’ve spent all this time and money planning this day now you need to enjoy it.”
What is the best course of action for couples to take when trying to choose a wedding venue?
“Compare the different venues you are looking into fairly. Meaning if one includes tables and chairs and the other doesn’t then you need to get the cost to rent it from a 3rd party and include that in the cost of the venue. Same thing with food/drink. If one requires a caterer and the other allows you to bring your own, compare the cost of food/drink.”
You can find Evergreen Meadows on Facebook, Instagram and via their website! I loved touring this venue and am looking forward to working with them in the future.
