Elegant Brookstom Creek Wedding | Cori & Stephen

One of my favorite things about Brookstom creek is it’s versatility. The location itself holds more of a rustic charm, but with a bit of creativity (and extra helping hands) you can create a luxurious feel to the blank canvas. Cori and Stephen’s wedding is a prime example: think Joanna Gaines meets Seattle’s Sodo.

Not a single detail was overlooked on this wedding. The couple purchased their own silverware so they could get the perfect gold table settings Cori wanted. All the accents matched, from the incredible custom plexiglass signs to the cake stand and vase for the photo booth props. Strings of greenery decked the tables, accented by gorgeous white roses and white and pink plumerias. Brookstom’s large wine barrels held gorgeous urns overflowing with floral arrangements to mark the end of the aisle and welcome guests into the ceremony space. Their marbled cake was the showcase of the carefully curated dessert table.

Cori chose to prepare at her mom’s house nearby, where their large rec space was dedicated to the bridal party getting ready. Jessica Blondet, of Blondet Beauty Hair and Makeup, and her team were hard at work when we arrived. Everyone looked beautiful, including the adorable flower girl who had her own bride-style dress complete with a train for walking down the aisle.

When we arrived at Brookstom Creek, everyone was hustling to get things perfect. Tables were being meticulously laid out, their custom made farm tables taking center stage in the reception tent. Hand-made by her father, the farm tables were reserved to host the family and large wedding party. Smaller round tables flanked either side of the reception tent, keeping the feeling intimate while offering enough room for guests to mingle during dinner. This was a unique set up I hadn’t seen at Brookstom yet, and here’s to hoping that the Russell wedding started a new trend!

The ceremony time arrived and everything moved quickly into the night. The wedding party kicked off with a seamless entrance around the gorgeous handcrafted wall. Their beautiful flower girl did an amazing job, though her pettiskirt wasn’t playing nice down the aisle. Cori entered looking stunning as always, and their ceremony was perfect.

The reception started with a cocktail hour and some amazing small plates for snacking while the bride and groom signed their marriage license. Once they entered, the party really got started. These two are the perfect combination of classy and silly together (as you’ve seen already in their two part engagement session!). The night was full of laughter, fun and a lot of smiles all around.

Cori & Stephen really knocked it out of the park with their wedding. If you head to Brookstom this fall for the open house, you’ll find a few gorgeous accents from their wedding still there! The custom wall Cori’s father built now serves as a beautiful backdrop for a photo booth and the “Drunk in Love” sign still hangs above the bar!
