Donna + Aaron | Brookstom Creek Wedding

It’s rare nowadays, that I find couples (other than myself) who choose to skip the engagement session, but Donna and Aaron live busy lives too! Their dreams for a sunny wedding day truly tested Donna’s laid back personality but in the end, the rainbow was worth it.

Donna was amazing while the team tossed around ideas that might allow us to keep the outdoor ceremony. We waited and waited for the rain to pass, but ultimately Donna and Aaron were ready to be wed and would wait no longer! Within moments of Donna deciding to move the ceremony inside the tent, the team and several guests were on the move. We rushed through the rain to bring the soaking wet chairs inside, dry them off (with the help of several awesome guests) and reset everything for an indoor ceremony. In less than 10 minutes, we went from the outdoor location to a fully functional and beautiful indoor ceremony space.

While the ceremony may not have been everything that Donna and Aaron dreamed of, the reception was sure a hit. Their DJ kept the dance floor hoppin, while the groomsmen really got down. This wedding had a huge number of kids, and watching them all spin and twirl made my mommy heart sing. A few of the groomsmen kept the crowd laughing with their antics, and by the end everyone had smiles a mile wide.

Donna and Aaron were just simply sweet together, and during their portrait sessions it was easy to see how much they meant to one another. Aaron looks at Donna like she’s the only woman in the world; even when she’s dragging him out into the drizzly rain for (yet another) portrait together. I loved getting to spend time with them on their wedding day and wish them many happy years together!
