Dawn + Jamie’s Spring 2021 Couple’s Adventure
I met Dawn a while ago, through one of the many wedding related Facebook Groups we’re both members of. What started as a professional relationship, quickly morphed into a wonderful friendship. I’ve been blessed to see her grow over these past years, and I’m sure she feels the same.
Dawn introduced me to Jamie at their first couple’s session in 2018. Jamie is perfect for Dawn and it was easy to see why she was smitten with him. I love seeing how well he treats her! It’s been fun watching their adventures on her instagram. I simply get the bonus of photographing them (almost) yearly! You can see their 2019 Christmas photos here. We finally got the chance to do their Spring 2021 Couple’s session!
For this adventure, we stuck close to Dawn’s home. Starting at the boardwalk, the weather was just perfect. At first, the wind picked up, which may have created a problem for most. However, Dawn does such an awesome job with her own hair and makeup. This meant the wind gave us just enough movement for some beautiful portraits.
Watching these two together is like skipping through the romance novels to all the good steamy parts. I just laughed when they said they were “toning it down for Emi” who was there assisting me with my gear. She even giggled cause she knows this is all part of my job. The chemistry between Dawn + Jamie always makes me smile.
When clients are themselves, the portraits are always more beautiful. When we hit the beach, Dawn ditched her shoes to walk barefoot in the sand. You could easily tell she was right at home (both literally and figuratively). She’s the type that just belongs on the beach. You can tell Jamie just adores her. Plus they’re two peas in a pod, and he fits in pretty much wherever they adventure.
I can’t wait to see where these two take off to next. Wherever it is, it’s going to be an epic adventure. I’ll be watching for more Spring 2021 goodness from these two.
