Dawn & Jaimie | Ruston Christmas Photos
These two are a couple of my favorite people, and I don’t get to see them nearly enough! So this year, I decided to reach out to Dawn for a few ideas. Even though my boudoir sessions didn’t end up happening (next year ya’ll!) I was still thrilled to head over to Dawn’s beautifully decorated studio for some cuddly couple’s portraits.
Dawn loves to decorate for Christmas, and she’s one of my friends I live vicariously through because she decorates WAY before I have a chance to. If I could decorate on November 1st, I’d be all over it, but the hundreds of children I have in my house keep me from doing so. (Ok. I have 3 kids. It just feels like hundreds). So when I called Dawn and asked her how soon she’d be decorating, her answer was “How soon do you need me to have it decorated?” I just love her.
Dawn is the owner of Studio A in Tacoma, as well as Dawn Marie Artistry where she glams up brides for their wedding days. She’s been cutting Jaimie’s hair for years (somewhere around 10 I believe) and it wasn’t until about two years ago that he made it clear he was interested. They’ve been inseparable ever since and I love being able to see all her posts of the adventures she’s having with her mountain man. Don’t ask me how she managed to get him to take off his beanie… it went right back on after the shoot!
This isn’t the first time I’ve been blessed to photograph Dawn and Jaimie either. You may remember their Lincoln Park Sunset Photos, and Dawn’s Rock-n-Roll Styled Session she designed with Chrissy from Wai-Ching Clothing. It’s always a blast when we can get together for a chat and some fun. I may or may not have a few other ideas for these two in the warmer months.
