Country Brookstom Creek Wedding | Krystyn & Scott

I feel like I could talk about fate for every single wedding this year. As luck would have it, Krystyn and Scott’s wedding was another fateful moment in the books.

Krystyn and Scott originally married a few years ago. At the time, they couldn’t afford the big wedding Krystyn dreamed of, so they put it off in favor of starting their lives together sooner. In July, they celebrated with a larger affair and the team at Brookstom was able to make Krystyn’s country wedding dreams come true.

The perfect groom’s gift

When I first met Krystyn, it was at her boudoir shoot she’d planned for Scott’s wedding present. Getting to chat with her and create her grooms gift was such a blessing. We found we had common ties (I briefly worked for the same company her husband does) and she told me about her vision for her wedding day. It gave us a chance to really connect while knocking something off her wedding to do list. The best part though, was watching Scott open his gift at their first look. He legit grinned from ear to ear.

Country Brookstom Creek Dreams come true

Krystyn grew up around horses and mentioned she really just wanted one photo in her wedding dress with a horse. I put some feelers out to see if anyone could make this dream come true, but reached a dead end. However, Angie at Brookstom was much more successful, and I was thrilled to see these listed on their timeline.

The experience was quite memorable. After the first look and leaving the wedding party with a balloon pop challenge, we hopped in Angie’s car to head to the pasture next door. Sue greeted us with a bucket that matched the wedding colors (which she bought just for this shoot!) and carrots to feed the horses. Krystyn got her dream as we moseyed into the pasture and the horses circled around her. One decided to come check out my camera, but would jump and run every time I clicked the shutter. It should come as no surprise, that Krystyn noticed a stallion in the next pasture over. While Sue explained that he wasn’t as tame as the others, she offered to let us go over to him. He was willing to cooperate for snacks of course, and we captured beautiful photos of the two of them. Krystyn was calm and the two of them shared a magical moment.

Two hearts, one love

Watching how much Scott loves Krystyn and getting to see her dream day come true was amazing. Brookstom creek was the perfect backdrop for this rustic country wedding.
