Brides Club Tacoma Wedding Expo | January 2020
Like every new year, I start with these big plans. One of which for this month was to post to the blog a minimum of 2x per week. Oiy. Well, it’s week two and I’m a little bit behind already… for good reason though! The beginning of January was back to back weekends at wedding expos meeting hundreds of amazing couples. Ya’ll, I don’t regret taking two weekends in a row AT ALL. It was a blast (and I got to spend some time with awesome vendors and my adorable husband. Those dimples… am I right?)
Tacoma Wedding Expo
Like everything between Tacoma and Seattle, this is a smaller show than the one last weekend. But Seattle just does EVERYTHING bigger than Tacoma in general. So it’s no surprise that Tacoma’s wedding expo only had 150 vendors versus Seattle’s 300+ booths. Of course, I only noticed about 7 vendors that were present at both shows, so it’s definitely worth planning to attend both. Booths I saw at both shows included myself, American Party Place, CORT Rentals, The Five2Five, Brookstom Creek, Rebecca Jane Photography, The Realm, and Seattle Farm Tables. I’m sure there were others, but I don’t remember them specifically.
There wasn’t a formal fashion show this year at the Tacoma Wedding Expo, but several models roamed the venue sporting beautiful dresses of all makes. From flowy cupcake style gowns to sleek pieces that screamed “roaring 20s”, there was something for everyone at this show. Bella Bridal featured a few gowns with smoky grey underlays, which offered a beautiful contrast to the usual pale pinks, ivories and whites that typically show up on the gown racks. I tried to convince a few models to wear them, but didn’t get a photograph of one of those beauties being worn!
A few of my favorite vendors from the show included Indian Summer’s wedding venue, Sirius Wood Fired Pizza, The Press Room, Brookstom Creek, and The Realm! I’ll be working on my 2020 & 2021 venue wish lists this month so be on the lookout for those! If you missed me at both the Seattle and Tacoma shows, be sure to mark your calendars for the South Sound Wedding Show at the Puyallup Fairgrounds on February 22nd! I’ll be in booth 207!
