Amber + Cody Engaged!
This year is all about family for us! We’re thrilled to collaborate with many of our cherished “vendor-family” members. Today, I’m delighted to introduce you to some of our own blood relatives. Cody is Jake’s relative by marriage, and we’re overjoyed to welcome Amber into our extended family!
These two love being at home and relaxing on weekends, with their dogs Milo + Gibbs (I might be going out on a limb here, but it’s possible you’d find them Door Dashing dinner and binge watching NCIS. Or maybe that’s just me.). But you might see them out and about on weekends with little Miss K, at the park or doing a seasonal activity.
Over the weekend, they embarked on a spontaneous engagement session near their wedding venue, Brix on Main. The weather was flawless, and the sun graced us with its presence as we began shooting. Surrounded by blooming trees, delicate dandelions, and radiant sunlight filtering through the foliage, the couple looked absolutely stunning. Their love for each other was palpable in every frame captured.
As many of you are aware, I’m a strong advocate for including other family members (and pets!) in your engagement sessions. While this might shift the focus away from the typical “romantic” ambiance, for many of us, it simply wouldn’t feel complete without our beloved family members. During their session, we made sure to incorporate Miss K, allowing her to be entertained the rest of the time by Emi while we captured precious moments nearby.
We were fortunate enough to encounter Courtney from Brix on Main during a tour with another couple while we were capturing portraits against the outdoor brick wall. Courtney graciously invited us inside, allowing me to capture some shots in my preferred corner (she even knew exactly which one I favored, haha! Perhaps because it’s a favorite among all photographers.) This spot perfectly complemented the rest of Amber + Cody’s gallery.
We cannot wait to celebrate the union of these two in August and are looking forward to the next time we get to hang out with them. It’s always a blessing when we can see our couples outside of their wedding planning journey.
