Christina + Edward | All Hallows Eve at Lake Lawrence Lodge
“My dearest friend, if you don’t mind…
I’d like to join you by your side,
where we can gaze into the stars
And sit together, now and forever
for it is plain as anyone can see,
We’re simply meant to be.”
-Jack Skellington
When I originally heard about this All Hallows Eve wedding… I may or may not have legit squealed. (Ok. I admit it, I totally did). Let’s be serious, I’m a complete sucker for a good offbeat wedding, and this spooktacular spectacle delivered more than I could have dreamed of.
A Quaint Lodge in the middle of Suburbia
Arriving at Lake Lawrence Lodge, I had no idea what I was in for. The quaint little lodge sits back where most people wouldn’t venture. Surrounded by homes, it appears to be a members only community center, but they rent out for weddings and events. Inside I found the place decorated in pumpkins, masquerade masks, spiders and even a skeleton bride and groom complete with caskets. From I do to death beds all in one night huh?
Vintage Horror Fans on All Hallows Eve
Taking it all in at this All Hallows Eve wedding was a feat in itself. There was something new in every nook and cranny. Vintage monster movies, Halloween crafts, a photobooth with some seriously amazing props (a vintage TV? You got it!) and a candy bar fit to thrill your inner fat kid (who said caramel apples are just for kids…). Christina and Edward left no detail forgotten. They seriously thought of everything, including the music and giant moon from my all time favorite movie…. The Nightmare before Christmas.
Zombies & Gumby & a Unicorn… Oh my!
Then… the guests arrived. The mad hatter, Gumby, Zombie Elsa & Zombie Anna. A unicorn, a princess…. Jack Skellington. Everyone played along and wore their costumes. Including yours truly and the photography team, who were dressed like cats of course. The moment came after the ceremony and portraits when I thought this wedding couldn’t get ANY better. That is the moment Christina chose to reveal her costume by adding beautiful white Angel wings to her gorgeous white wedding gown.
An All Hallows Eve Wedding… Sasquatch?
All in all, this wedding was definitely memorable and will be one to “haunt” my wedding dreams for years to come, especially when the groom exited in a Sasquatch costume. It’s just not every day you get such awesome couples! I look forward to another All Hallows Eve Wedding this year!
