Amy + Steve | A Hunter Family Farm Mountain View Wedding
Today I marry my best friend, the one I live for, laugh with and love.
Every single person on the planet has probably heard that saying, and there are many couples who’ve modeled it in the past. This weekend, I was given the pleasure of photographing one of those couples who’s connection truly shines through their friendship and love. My team and I discussed it later, realizing we’d never laughed that often or that hard at a wedding. These two were so much fun to photograph, between Steve’s antics and Amy’s stunning smile, we couldn’t have asked for a better couple last weekend.
Amy and Steve had been together for 13 years before tying the knot. Surrounded by their friends and family, they proclaimed their love in a short and sweet ceremony at Hunter Family Farms in Olympia. Their rustic wedding was incredible and even after the morning overcast skies had me concerned, Mount Rainier stood proud in the background of their ceremony.
Amy & Steve together helped to make their wedding day eco-friendly as well. Floral centerpieces served as wedding favors, ready to be taken home and planted in guest’s gardens. Amy’s bouquet, along with the boutonnieres worn by Steve and Mike (the officient), were wooden flowers from Eco Flower and they smelled delightful. The majority of their decor was rented from Rustic Receptions, ensuring the reuse of the items. Steve even came up with a wonderfully eco-friendly guest book: Every guest had their photo taken in front of a homemade pallet backdrop and images will be placed into a digital frame where they can be viewed every single day.
Amy & Steve’s day was chock full of wonderful memories and moments, one that my associates and I will for sure remember for years to come. Amy & Steve, thank you for having us. We wish you the best in your next adventures.
